In Brussels on Monday 12 February, the vice-president of the European Commission with responsibility for Energy Union, Maroš Šefčovič, will chair the second high-level meeting on the European Battery Alliance, established in October 2017. Its members include EU member states and battery industry representatives. The aim is to encourage the development of electric batteries in Europe (see EUROPE 11881).
