Assessment of difficult issues in April ahead of resuming EU-India free trade negotiations

Speaking to the European Parliament's international trade committee on Tuesday 23 January, the European chief negotiator Helena König said that the negotiators from the European Commission and Indian administration would meet again in April to assess their technical-level discussions since the last EU-India summit in autumn 2017.  Their objective will be to issue recommendations for the resumption of talks for a bilateral trade and investment agreement (BTIA).
