EU calls for extension of ceasefire between ELN and Colombian government

12/01/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 11 January, the spokesperson for the European External Action Service (EEAS) called for the ceasefire between the Ejército de Liberación Nacional (ELN) and Colombian government to be extended.  The ceasefire expired the same day.  "This opportunity for peace must not be squandered.  We expect the ELN to cease its attacks immediately and encourage the parties to resume dialogue, so that a peace agreement is soon reached, which brings not only...
