14/11/2017 (Agence Europe) – The inter-institutional negotiations timetable for revising the directive on posted workers was confirmed during the first trialogue held on Tuesday 14 November in Strasbourg. Three meetings are planned for 28 November, 6 December and 13 December. The Commissioner for Employment and Social Affairs, Marianne Thyssen, pointed out during the trialogue, the different points of divergence (legal basis, transposition periods and the transport sector) and areas of convergence (new rules on pay, which apply from the first day in all sectors, including temporary posted workers and the fight against fraud) in the positions taken by the MEPs and member states (see EUROPE 11890).
