14/11/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 8 November, the European Parliament hosted a round-table discussion on the problems of the premium and luxury industry. At this meeting, the European Cultural and Creative Industries Alliance (ECCIA) presented its manifesto “Securing the leadership of the European high-end and luxury industries in the digital era”, which calls on the European Union to tackle counterfeiting, particularly online counterfeiting. The event was jointly organised by Pervenche Berès (S&D, France) and Christian Ehler (EPP, Germany), joint chairs of the cultural and creative industries intergroup, and ECCIA President Guillaume de Seynes.
