Spanish law on calculation of unemployment benefit of certain part-term workers is against EU law

The Spanish legislation, which reduces the period for which unemployment benefit is paid by excluding days not worked from the calculation of days for which social contributions have been paid, discriminates against 'vertical' part-time workers, most of whom are women, the Court of Justice of the EU considered in a judgment returned on Thursday 9 November (case C-98/15).
