Creating an effective collective redress system in the EU is one of the priorities of European Commissioner for Justice and Consumers Věra Jourová by the end of her term in office (see EUROPE 11836). Although it is not currently known which specific areas such a system may apply to, the European Federation of Investors and Financial Services Users (Better Finance) called on Monday 23 October for users of financial products and services to be included.
