Contrasting responses from European agricultural organisations on omnibus regulation

The agreement reached between the European Parliament and the Council of the EU on the agricultural chapter of the omnibus regulation (see EUROPE 11883) is a “complete overhaul of the producer organisations system and of European competition law”, according to Michel Dantin (EPP, France), one of the negotiators on the text. This overhaul is not, however, to the liking of all the professional organisations in the sector.
