Council's EUROPA building evacuated after kitchen staff breathe in toxic fumes

13/10/2017 (Agence Europe) – According to reports from AFP, the EUROPA building at the Council of the European Union was evacuated on Friday 13 October, following the inhalation of toxic fumes by around 15 people, 5 of whom were taken to hospital. Although Council civil servants and officials were allowed to take personal effects with them, the building was expected to remain closed throughout the day.
