11/10/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 10 October, European Commissioner for Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn announced that the European Commission would present a strategy on the Western Balkans in early 2018. "As a follow up of Juncker’s speech, we will come with a strategy. It’s about all the region, and I hope it will be presented at the beginning of next year", Hahn said at a press conference with Serbia's Prime Minister Ana Brnabic. In the letter of intent, which followed European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker's State of the Union speech, Juncker only highlights a strategy for the accession of Serbia and Montenegro, as the countries most advanced in the accession process.
