EEAS and Eurojust want to develop information exchange

11/10/2017 (Agence Europe)On Tuesday 10 October, the European External Action Service (EEAS) and the EU's judicial cooperation unit, Eurojust, signed a letter of understanding that "will provide the framework for the regular exchange of non-operational strategic information and experience, particularly in the areas of counter-terrorism, cybercrime, illegal immigrant smuggling and trafficking in human beings", Eurojust stated in a press release.  Cooperation could take the form of  secondments, visits, training, research on trends and challenges, and facilitating contacts with third states, Eurojust says.  The EEAS, meanwhile, has not given any communication on the signature of this letter of understanding.  (CG)
