Greens in European Parliament sound alarm over glyphosate in ice cream

After pasta and cereals, we now have glyphosate flavoured ice cream.  Following a hearing on Monsanto Papers at the European Parliament’s environment and agriculture committees, MEP Bart Staes (Greens/EFA, Belgium), accompanied by scientists and representatives of US consumer organisations, is warning the public in Europe about the presence of glyphosate at potentially worrying levels in Ben & Jerry’s ice cream in a number of countries in the EU.
