Condemning the sentences passed on Mejlis Deputy Chairmen Ilmi Umerov, Akhtem Chiygoz and journalist Mykola Semena, the European Parliament called on Thursday 5 October for the deputy chairmen to be released “immediately and unconditionally” and for all charges against Semena to be immediately and unconditionally dropped.
