E-commerce industry expresses concern that future security standards for online payments

On behalf of the e-commerce sector in Europe, Ecommerce Europe and 26 other organisations on Monday 25 September expressed their concerns regarding the Commission's draft regulatory technical standards (RTS) on Strong Customer Authentication in the framework of the 'Payment services' directive (PSD2).

“As drafted, the RTS risks creating legal uncertainty for European sellers and traders”, the organisations stress in a letter to the President of the Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker.
