Two months before COP 23 (Bonn, 6-17 November), the members of the European Parliament’s environment committee have called on the EU to revise its climate targets upwards, to incorporate the Paris Agreement into Community law and to begin preparations now for the 2018 facilitating dialogue on the level of ambition of the contributions that all parties must raise, with a first global assessment of action in 2023, in line with the Paris climate agreement.
