31/07/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 28 July, the European Commission launched a public consultation about directive 2009/103/EC on car insurance, in view of a future revision of the text. The directive in question seeks to ensure protection of automobile accident victims in the European Union. The consultation takes the shape of a questionnaire and is open to all interested stakeholders, such as consumer bodies, insurance companies, the national authorities responsible for this issue and the European Union institutions.
