25/07/2017 (Agence Europe) – The European Cockpit Association – ECA called in a press release on Monday 24 July for the urgent introduction of measures following publication of a study on collisions between drones and aircraft. The study shows that collision with drones can be ‘catastrophic’ even at low speed. The pilots therefore call for awareness-raising campaigns on the responsible use of drones, the introduction of qualifications, standards and training in the use of drones, the registration of drones and their users and the introduction of coercive measures regulating the use of drones.
