The NGU/NGL, S&D and EPP groups have appointed their members to take charge of the reports on the “mobility package”. This follows the effective distribution of posts between the transport committee coordinators on 19 June last. Merja Kyllönen (GUE/NGL, Finland) will therefore be examining the rules that apply to posted workers in the transport field. Christine Revault D’Allonnes Bonnefoy (S&D, France) and Jens Nilsson (S&D, Sweden) will respectively be working on the revision of the Eurovignette directive and rules on cabotage.
At the EPP, Wim van de Camp (Netherlands) will be focusing on the rules applicable to driving time and tachographs, Massimiliano Salini (Italy) will be tackling the recasting of the directive on the interoperability of electronic toll booth systems, whilst Cláudia Monteiro de Aguiar (Portugal) will be working on a revision of the directive on vehicle location in the transport of merchandise. Deirdre Clune (Ireland) will be getting to grips with the opinion on the taxation of heavy-duty vehicles using road infrastructure.
The EPP also appointed Markus Pieper (Germany) as the rapporteur on the proposition for a regulation to amend regulation 868/2004 on competition in air transport. (Original version in French by Lucas Tripoteau)
