The country-by-country tax transparency (reporting) dossier is no longer in the home straight at the European Parliament after the negotiator for the Liberal group, Spain's Enrique Calvet Chambon, has resigned his position following an intervention by the leader of the group, Guy Verhofstadt of Belgium. A postponement of Tuesday's vote in plenary was not excluded at the request of the ALDE group on Monday 3 July.
