21/06/2017 (Agence Europe) – Anneleen Van Bossuyt MEP (ECR, Belgium) was elected as the new chair of the Internal Market and Consumer Protection Committee on Wednesday 21 June. Van Bossuyt has been at the European Parliament since January 2015. She is a member of the Belgian Flemish nationalist party, NVA, which is of liberal-conservative persuasion. She will replace British MEP Vicky Ford, who has been elected to the British national parliament. (PH)
