Political agreement in sight at Council on ETIAS system of visa-free entry for travellers from third countries

On Wednesday 31 May, the national ambassadors to the EU (Coreper) discussed the European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) that was proposed in November 2016 to secure the entry into the European Union of nationals from third countries not needing a visa (see EUROPE 11669).
