17/05/2017 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission announced on Wednesday 17 May that approval had been given to inclusion of two further wines, one French and one German, and a British product in the register of protected denominations of origin (PDO). These products are the “Bürgstadter Berg” red, white and rosé wines from vines grown in the south-west of Franconia (Franken) in the southern centre of Germany; the “Terrasses du Larzac” dry red wines from a number of municipalities in the southern French department of Hérault; and “Welsh Laverbread”, the name given to a traditional Welsh delicacy made from nori seaweed.
