Estonia asked to take action on two directives of third internal market liberalisation package

17/05/2017 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission sent a letter of formal notice to Estonia on Wednesday 17 May asking it to ensure the correct implementation and application of the 3rd legislative package on the liberalisation of the energy markets, Directive 2009/72/EC on the rules for the internal market in electricity and Directive 2009/73/EC on the rules for the internal market in gas. These directives contain key legal provisions which allow energy markets to function properly. (EH)
