Member states want a European industrial strategy by spring 2018 at the latest

On Wednesday 17 May, the Committee of Permanent Representatives to the EU (Coreper) approved the draft conclusions proposed by the Maltese Presidency of the Council. The Council calls on the European Commission to present an “holistic” industrial strategy to it by spring 2018 at the latest.

According to the copy of the draft EUROPE obtained, this strategy is expected to present the medium and long-term objectives for industry and form part of the Commission’s work programme for 2018....
