The European Parliament’s fisheries committee called on Tuesday 25 April for improvement in the situation of fishermen in the Mediterranean Sea, where 93% of stocks are overfished.
The committee voted by 18 votes to 1, with 1 abstention to adopt the report by Marco Affronte (Greens/EFA, Italy) on the state of the stocks and the socio-economic situation of the fishing sector in the Mediterranean.
