19/04/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 19 April, a spokesperson for the European External Action Service, Nabila Massrali, said that the EU expected Moldova to fulfil its obligations under the association agreement and deep and comprehensive free trade agreement (DCFTA), at a time when Chișinău's request to become an observer of the Eurasian union has been accepted. "It is first and foremost up to the Moldovan authorities to define their relationship between Moldova and the Eurasian economic union. At the same time, we expect that the Republic of Moldova, like all the countries which have undertaken legal commitments with the EU, will fully comply with its obligations under the association agreement and DCFTA", Massrali told media. "These commitments for the association agreement and DCFTA do not prevent political and economic relations with others, notably the neighbourhood. On the contrary, we encourage this", she added. (CG)
