Commission protects new Romanian geographical indication

06/04/2017 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission announced on Thursday 6 April that it had approved the addition of a new product from Romania to the quality register of Protected Geographical Indication (PGI). The “Novac afumat din Tara Bârsei” is a smoked fish fillet obtained from the bighead carp species (Arystichthys nobilis).
