European Parliament's budgets committee approves aid of €1.8 million for workers made redundant in Netherlands

09/02/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 9 February, the budgets committee of the European Parliament recommended approving the decision on mobilising the Globalisation Adjustment Fund in the amount of €1.8 million in favour of the Netherlands (see EUROPE 11678). The Netherlands applied for this after 1,096 workers were made redundant in six companies in the retail sector in the regions of Drenthe and Overijssel.
