Romania and Bulgaria not yet ready to be exempted from corruption and justice monitoring

On Wednesday 25 January, the European Commission presented the results of ten years of monitoring of Bulgaria and Romania in the framework of the Cooperation and Verification Mechanism, concluding that the two member states may have this monitoring requirement lifted by 2019.
