Fotyga elected chair of 'Security and Defence' sub-committee

25/01/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 25 January, the Polish ECR MEP Anna Elżbieta Fotyga was re-elected chair of the 'Security and Defence' sub-committee of the European Parliament by acclamation of her peers and with no challengers. EPP members Christian Ehler (Germany) and Jaromír Štětina (Czech Republic) were elected first and second vice-chairs respectively, Afzal Khan (S&D, UK) third vice-chair and Sabine Lösing  (GUE/NGL, Germany) fourth and final vice-chair.
