Commission approves EU Solidarity Fund in favour of Cyprus and Portugal

24/01/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 24 January, the European Commission announced the granting of €11 million from the EU Solidarity Fund to Cyprus and Portugal. Cyprus will receive €7.3 million and Portugal nearly €4 million, according to the institution's press release. This aid will help to member states to deal with damage incurred following forest fires.
