On Thursday 26 and Friday 27 January, EU Ministers for the Interior and Justice will be meeting up in Malta. Their discussions will mainly focus on effective solidarity in the asylum field and ways of reaching consensus on reform of the Dublin system that sets out responsibilities for member states. On Friday they will also discuss the future of the European Prosecutor’s Office, which may require the launch of strengthened cooperation if this initiative is going to be feasible.
