European Parliament condemns violence against minorities

On Thursday 19 January, the European Parliament strongly condemned all acts of violence, harassment and intimidation of minorities in Indonesia, along with impunity for the perpetrators of such acts.

In a joint resolution of the S&D, ECR, Greens/EFA, ELDD, ALDE and EPP groups that they adopted, the MEPs also condemned the ever more frequent abuse of legislation to discriminate against, pursue and imprison members of religious, ethnic and sexual minorities.  The European Parliament notes its...
