New French protected geographical indication

19/01/2017 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission announced on Thursday 19 January that it had approved the request for the inclusion of “Brillat-Savarin” in the register of protected geographical indications (PGI). Brillat-Savarin is a soft cheese from full cow’s milk and cow’s milk cream made within an area covering five départments in the north-east of France (Aube, Côte-d'Or, Saône-et-Loire, Seine-et-Marne and Yonne).
