15/12/2016 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 15 December, MEPs adopted a resolution in which it calls on the European Commission to involve them in the comprehensive international aviation agreements from the beginning of the talks with third countries. They emphasise that their involvement is needed if the agreements are going to be adopted or not. Parliament had already expressed its concerns to the Commissioner for Transport, Violeta Bulc, during the November plenary session (see EUROPE 11676). It should be pointed out that so far, the Commission has been negotiating aviation agreements with the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, ASEAN member countries, Turkey (see EUROPE 11567) and recently with Armenia (EUROPE 11680).
