EU signs €23.9 million agreement for environment and the economy

09/12/2016 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 8 December, the European Union and Montenegro signed a new financing programme totalling €23.9 million from pre-accession funds for 2016.  Of this €23.9 million, €16 million will go to the environment sector to improve the quality of air and water, promoting recycling of waste and tackling climate change.  The remaining €6.9 million will support economic competitiveness and innovation, in particular for small and medium-sized enterprises....
