09/12/2016 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 8 December, the European Commission sent reasoned opinions to 15 member states, calling on them fully to transpose the new directives on public procurement and concessions into national law (directives 2014/23/EC, 2014/24/EC and 2014/25/EC). These countries are Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden. All member states were required to notify the transposition of the new rules on public procurement by 18 April 2016 at the latest, the Commission stresses in its press release. The states now have two months to notify the European institution of the corrective measures requested. (PH)
