30/11/2016 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 30 November, Permanent Representatives to the EU (Coreper) approved, without debate, the removal of the “common position” ensuring that relations between Europeans and Cubans were subject to progress on human rights questions in Cuba. They also approved the signing of the EU/Cuba cooperation agreement (see EUROPE 11677). One date mentioned for signing this agreement was Monday 12 December during the Foreign Affairs Council. (MB)
