€1.8 million from EGF for workers made redundant in Netherlands

29/11/2016 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 29 November, the European Commission made a proposal to allocate €1.8 million from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) to 1,096 workers made redundant in the Netherlands. The measures planned by the Dutch authorities will cost a total of €3 million and will specifically apply to the former workers of the six retail companies in the regions of Drenthe and Overijssel.
