Aid mobilised for economy struggling to recover

On Tuesday 29 November, the European Investment Bank (EIB) announced at the Tunisia 2020 international conference that it would provide Tunisia with exceptional support of €2.5 billion over until 2020, a press release states.  "This is an exceptional measure", the EIB's president, Werner Hoyer, stated at the conference in Tunis.

"Given the challenges currently facing Tunisia, it is our responsibility to act quickly and strongly to restore the trust of private and public investors", Hoyer...
