MEPs approve aid for Germany following flooding

24/11/2016 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 24 November, the Committee on Budgets approved aid worth of €31.5 million from the EU Solidarity Fund (EUSF) for Germany (see EUROPE 11669). The European Parliament still has to formally approve this aid for Germany, at the beginning of December. The assistance provided will help to pay for some of the expenditure incurred following the heavy flooding in the region of Niederbayern (Lower Bavaria) in May and June this year.  (LC)
