According to a European Court of Justice ruling delivered on Thursday 13 October (C-294/15), Council Regulation No. 2201/2003, concerning the jurisdiction and recognition and enforcement of judgments in matrimonial matters, applies to an action for annulment of marriage brought by a third party following the death of one of the spouses.
