14/10/2016 (Agence Europe) – Due to a translation error from Italian into French in the Cohesion article in EUROPE 11645, EUROPE mistook some of the ideas expressed by the deputy president of the Conference of Peripheral and Maritime Regions (CPMR), Enrico Rossi. The sentence in the article on the conference on post-2020 cohesion policy should therefore be: “Rossi called for the Commission to develop an integrated policy for investment which should combine the strengths of the Cohesion Policy and the Juncker Plan”. It should also be pointed out that Rossi considers that the debate opposing grants and financial instruments was not useful, and that it would be more productive to identify where financial instruments are particularly effective within Cohesion Policy. With regard to the promotion of a two-speed Europe made by Rossi during a discussion with EUROPE, these ideas are only related to the president of the Tuscany Region. (PH)
