Council examines the idea of conditioning the application of new rules on the duration of posting of workers

On Friday 7 October, EU member states will hold their first discussion on several compromise options to amend the European Commission proposal to revise the basic directive on the posting of workers (see EUROPE 11598).  They will discuss the idea put forward by the Slovak Presidency of the Council to guarantee different rights to workers on the basis of the length of their posting.
