23/08/2016 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 23 August, the European Commission announced that it has authorised two Czech state aid schemes for electricity and heat generation using hydroelectric power and biogas. The combined budget for the two measures is around €27 million. The measures will encourage the deployment of renewable energy plants and help the Czech Republic achieve its renewable energy targets for 2020 without distorting competition. (EL)
