20/07/2016 (Agence Europe) - Signing of Cooperation Arrangement between EU and Kuwait. On Tuesday 19 July, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini and the Vice Minister for the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Khalid al-Jarallah, signed a Cooperation Arrangement between the European External Action Service (EEAS) and the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In its press release, the EEAS explained "This Arrangement aims to complement the implementation of the EU-GCC Cooperation Agreement of 1988 by fostering cooperation between the EEAS and the Ministry". This will be done by way of increased exchanges between officials and efforts to promote regular political dialogue and concrete cooperation initiatives, explained the EEAS. The EU-GCC cooperation agreement focuses on fostering relations between the two parties. (CG)
