Juncker may be called on if Verheugen refuses to appear before Volkswagen commission

Brussels, 16/03/2016 (Agence Europe) - Kathleen van Brempt (S&D, Belgium), chair of the European Parliament's special commission of inquiry into the Volkswagen scandal (EMIS), is planning to call on the president of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, if former Industry Commissioner Günther Verheugen persists in keeping silent despite the raft of requests from MEPs for him to give evidence on 14 July.
