Brussels, 17/06/2016 (Agence Europe) - On Friday 17 June, the Council of the EU adopted without debate its position on the draft amending budget no. 2/2016, which aims to reduce the contributions of the member states of the EU by €1.349 billion in 2016 (see EUROPE 11573 and 11571).
In the vote, only the British delegation abstained. The European Parliament will approve this text on the budgetisation of the 2015 surplus in plenary on 6 July.
