Brussels, 14/06/2016 (Agence Europe) - The national authorities can require proof from the citizens of another member state that they have the right to reside when granting them welfare benefits to which they have a right, as stipulated in European legislation. The Court of Justice of the European Union reached this conclusion on Tuesday 14 June (C-308/14) in a case involving the European Commission against the United Kingdom.
