Brussels, 03/05/2016 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 3 May, the European Commission announced that it is to allocate €3 million to UNICEF and the WHO in order to co-finance a polio vaccination campaign that is being jointly led by these two agencies in Syria.
The Commission's announcement was made ahead of a debate on health care in armed conflicts which was due to take place at the United Nations Security Council on Tuesday 3 May.
